Samuel's Journey

When in Spain last week Samuel came across a place that 15 years ago set him off on a very special journey. As such, he couldn't resist stopping to take the above photo so he could share a personal story with you.
 

A Personal Message From Samuel: 

"15 years ago this summer my grandmother took my sister and I on a holiday to Spain. We stayed in a hotel on the coast and traveled from there to some truly amazing places, such as the beautiful city of Granada. It was on this holiday that I first heard and saw flamenco and this experience changed my life! Prior to this I had played the guitar for a few years but hadn't taken the instrument seriously. However, seeing a number of stunning flamenco artists on this trip really inspired me and this in tern kindled a deep passion that ultimately lead to where I am now! I will always be so grateful to my grandma for taking me on this holiday as in doing so she gave me a wonderful gift: ever since I've always known that I wanted to commit my life to music. The below photo was taken on my recent trip to Spain in the restaurant room of the hotel in which I stayed at with my Grandmother 15 years ago. It was in this room that I first heard and saw flamenco performed. Who would have thought that the seeds of inspiration planted hear would have lead to where I am now! An unexpected and very appropriate end to my recent trip to Spain."
