A New YouTube Tutorial Video

In the lead up to launching of his new Patreon account on the 1st of March, Samuel will be posting a series of FREE flamenco guitar tutorial videos on YouTube over the next few weeks! This new programme of YouTube lessons aims to make flamenco guitar more accessible for those wishing to refine their skills.

A Note from Samuel

What to expect from my new videos!

Over the years I’ve noticed one specific issue that many flamenco guitar students struggle with. Weather they’re playing solo or accompanying, many find it hard to vary their compás playing.

So what do I mean by that?

Well, in my experience, flamenco guitar students are often very confident when paying melodic ideas (falsetas), but when they have to pay more chord based ideas (compás passages) they often fall into the trap of looping round and around the same idea again and again with little or no variation. Sound familiar?

Well if so, my new ‘Study with Samuel’ flamenco guitar YouTube series might be just what you’re looking for!

Over the next few weeks my tutorial videos will look at different flamenco palos, and explore different ways you can vary your compás paying. Weather you have ambitions to play solo or want to learn to accompany dance, these lessons aim to empower you to become a more rounded and confident flamenco musician.

My Study with Samuel video series kicks off today with an in depth look at the flamenco palo Soleá. Another video will be released soon, so please subscribe to my YouTube channel and click the bell icon to receive notifications. Also, please feel free to share this post and video to help me spread the word!

My sincere thanks to Jacob Savage for filming these videos with me and also my thanks to the good people at Grays Court for allowing us to shoot in your beautiful building!
