Following the success of the recent Masters of the Flamenco Guitar Workshop Series, Samuel Moore has been invited by Flamenco de Leeds to present a second instalment of five workshops running from September 2019 to May 2020.

During these events participants will explore with Samuel many of the great flamenco artists of the 20th century who were not included in the last programme of workshops:

 Workshop 1 (21st Sep 2019)

The artistry of Melchor de Marchena in the context of the palos Soleá & Pentenera.

Workshop 2 (24th Nov 2019)

The artistry of Mario Escudero in the context of Alegrías & his composition ‘Impetu’.

Workshop 3 (11th Jan 2020)

The artistry of Esteban de Sanlúcar in the context of his composition ‘Panaderos Flamencos’.

Workshop 4 (21st March 2020)

The artistry of Carmen Amaya and her accompanist Sabicas in the context of the palo Bulerías.

Workshop 5 (9th May 2020)

The artistry of Camarón de la Isla and his accompanist Paco de Lusica in the context of the palos Verdiales & Fandango de Huelva.

Each workshop will be three hours in length and offers participants a unique opportunity to explore the evolution of flamenco musical language during the 20th century. Participants will leave each workshop with a complimentary booklet produced by Samuel containing the music covered in both tab and notation. Samuel has transcribed all this material directly from original recordings of the maestros and as most of this is not currently available on the commercial market, these five workshops are a unique learning opportunity for intermediate to advanced students.

Active Participant tickets are available for guitarists wishing to get directly involved and Observer spaces are also available for beginners and enthusiasts.

Workshop Prices

Active Participant Tickets: £250 for all five workshops or £55 per workshop.

Observer Tickets: £150 for all five workshops or £35 per workshop.
